Digital Gamma Selection (DVD, VCD) Digital gamma is a digital image quality enhancement function that gives a richer image by brightening the darker and more obscure portions of the image without altering the brightness of the brighter portions, thereby making the entire image easier to see. Four digital gamma settings are available to allow for differences in the images played and in the brightness of the room.
Digital Super Picture Selection (DVD, VCD) DIGITAL S.PICTURE is a digital image quality enhancement function that gives a clearer image by sharpen- ing the details and outlines in the image and reducing the amount of picture noise. The DIGITAL S.PICTURE setting can be varied as desired.

Definition of Terms Angle Recorded onto some DVD discs are scenes which have been simultaneously shot from a number of different angles (the same scene is shot from the front, from the left side, from the right side, etc,). With such discs, the ANGLE button can be used to view the scene from different angles. Chapter Number These numbers are recorded on DVD discs.
