    Hint To switch to a local account, select Disconnect in step 4 instead of Connect to a Microsoft account. If you forget your Microsoft account password, contact Microsoft support services. About User Account Types There are two types of user accounts available in Windows 8: a local account and a Microsoft account.

The security key allows wireless devices that have the same key, such as a Wi-Fi access point and a computer, to communicate with each other on Wi-Fi.
