Introduction Thank you very much for using TOSHIBA TE-S1 series escalator “Kindmover-Ⅱ”. In order to ensure the escalator operates safely, maintenance is required. However, regular inspection by the operator on daily basis is necessary too. Please assign an operator, who is directly in-charge of the operation of escalators.

Definition of safety sign Understand the following safety signs and their meaning. These signs are very important to alert the operators and users about the hazardous actions or locations. WARNING ■ Escalators with a width of 1000 mm allow up to two passengers to stand on the same step (while those with a width of 600 mm and 800 mm allow only one passenger on the same step). Operating procedures ■ Before starting or stopping the escalator operation, make sure that there are no passengers on the escalator, and that there are no objects placed on the escalator.
