Section 3 - Configuration
My IPv6 Connection is:
Select PPPoE from the drop-down menu.
PPPoE Session:
Select Create a new session if you have IPv6.
Address Mode:
Select Static IP if your Internet Service Provider (ISP) assigned you
the IP address, subnet mask, gateway, and DNS server addresses.
In most cases, select Dynamic IP.
IP Address:
Enter the IP Address (Static PPPoE only) supplied by your ISP.
Username:
Enter your PPPoE Username.
Password:
Enter your PPPoE Password and then retype the password in the
next box to verify.
Service Name:
Enter the ISP Service Name (optional).
Reconnect Mode:
Select either Always-on, On-Demand, or Manual.
Maximum Idle Time:
Enter a Maximum Idle Time during which the Internet connection
is maintained during inactivity. To disable this feature, enable
Auto-reconnect.
MTU:
Maximum Transmission Unit - you may need to change the MTU for
optimal performance with your specific ISP. 1492 is the default MTU.
Select either Obtain IPv6 DNS Servers automatically or Use the
IPv6 DNS Settings:
following IPv6 DNS servers
Primary/Secondary IPv6
If you selected the second option above, enter the Primary and
Secondary DNS Server addresses.
