    Cables and connectors CAUTION: When servicing the computer, be sure that cables are placed in their proper locations during the reassembly process. Improper cable placement can damage the computer. Cables must be handled with extreme care to avoid damage. Apply only the tension required to unseat or seat the cables during removal and insertion.

The raw panel kit includes touch panel, touch board, bezel, rubber supports, display cable, webcam, and screws. Remove the two screw covers (1) and two Phillips PM2.5×3.5 screws (2) that secure the display rear cover to the display.

The bezel trim is available using spare part number 818043-001. To remove the webcam/microphone module: Position the display assembly with access to the top edge. Lift the webcam/microphone module enough to gain access to the connector (1).
  • Page 79 Rotate the display panel out of the enclosure (2) to gain access to the display cable connection on the back of the panel. The raw display panel is available using spare part number 812702-001 for HD displays, 812703-001 for FHD displays, and 812704-001 for QHD+ displays. On the back of the display panel, release the adhesive strip (1) that secures the display panel cable to the display panel, and then disconnect the cable (2).

    HP Recovery Manager is a software program that allows you to create recovery media (using either a flash drive or a set of DVDs) after you successfully set up the computer. HP Recovery media can be used to perform system recovery if the hard drive becomes corrupted. System recovery reinstalls the original operating system and software programs that were installed at the factory and then configures the settings for the programs.
